Rick Schenk
Tattooing since 2013

I create tattoos for people who see body art as an extension of personal taste. Drawing from painting, fashion, botanical beauty, mythology, and esoteric symbolism, my work balances refinement with darkness, ornament with restraint, and beauty with the unexpected. Through thoughtful composition and a collaborative approach, my goal is to create distinctive, enduring work that feels unmistakably yours—not simply a tattoo, but a piece of art you’ll love living with, and keep adding to.

The way a tattoo looks on your body and flows with your anatomy makes more impact than the imagry itself.
I do this work because I love art and people. I look forward to learning about you!

My lifelong dedication to drawing makes for sophisticated designs.
When a tattoo looks cheap or weak, it's often because your artist fears contrast. The best tattoos have black blacks.
My Philosophy
Who are you?
How will your tattoos speak to who you are?
I see tattoos as a form of dress: a way to adorn the body, cultivate personal style, and communicate identity to the world. Like fashion, tattooing allows us to shape how we present ourselves to society, revealing our tastes, values, and sensibilities without saying a word. A tattoo is both intimate and public. They are a personal choice that becomes part of how we are seen. My goal is to create thoughtful, distinctive work that feels less like decoration alone and more like an extension of the person wearing it.
